Served as a police officer for over 10 years in a number of areas including specialist training as a Roads Policing Officer (Traffic) including qualification as a Field Impairment Tester, Tachograph examiner and vehicle prohibition. Gary also qualified as a Sergeant in 2010 obtaining an exceptional pass (top 1% of all officers nationwide) and has extensive experience as a sergeant reviewing evidence and case files including evidential files for Road Traffic Offences. During his policing career Gary personally issued over 5000 fixed penalty notices, traffic offence reports, summons files, educational course recommendations and accident reports as well as giving evidence at Magistrates and Crown Court on over 100 cases.
Gary has also worked extensively with Traffic Management Act cases from Local Authorities where he gained experience of how Penalty Charge Notices are often issued and the numerous procedural errors which occurs with these.
Joined the Police at the age of 20 and served for almost 10 years across 2 police forces in various geographic areas. During his time, James was the roads policing point of contact for his large station. In doing so he became a specialist in dealing with collisions and drink drive cases alongside building prosecution files for other traffic offences. James has issued around 2000 fixed penalty notices and traffic offence reports and has submitted in excess of 1000 files for court proceedings in relation to traffic offences. James also has experience supervising a team of officers across a busy police area.
